2.Send copy of registraion papers to Breeder.
3. Notify Breeder the address where semen should be shipped.
4.Provide Breeder with name, address,and telephone of licensed veterinarian that will be inseminating mare.
5.Pay all fees and deposits prior to semen being shipped.
6. If appliciable, indicate closest airport for counter to counter shipments.
7. When you or your veterinarian detects the first day of heat for your mare, contact Painted Visions Farm.
8. You or your veterinarian should contact Painted Visions Farm at least twice:
a.First day of heat
b.When vet determines first approximated date of ovulation.
c.When your vet wants semen to ship (24hour delivery via ups-shipped every Monday, Wednesday, Friday arriving Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. If requiring delivery on Sunday or Monday, or any other scheduled day, the semen will have to be sent counter to counter air freight( an addition charge of $100 is charged for courier fees and must be paid prior to shipping)
9.Call us by 6 PM the evening prior to collection days(MWF) to order semen. The stud fee and shipping fees must be paid prior to shipping. You may cancel the shipment up until 8 AM(EST) on the day of shipment, at no penalty.
For semen to be delivered Tuesday, call to order Sunday by 6 PM.
For semen to be delivered Thursday, call to order Tuesday by 6 PM.
For semen to be delivered Saturday, call to order Thursday by 6 PM.

10.Your vet should palpate your mare frequently, and you will need to tease her diligently. Your vet will make a "best guess" on predicating ovulation, but mares are notorious for variation. Do not expect your mare to cooperate perfectly every heat cycle. You may need additional shipments, two days apart, or you may miss altogether, and need to try again next heat.
11.When you receive your Equitainer. DO NOT OPEN the container: only the vet should open it, and only when he/she is ready to inseminate. If you wish to inspect semen quality, do so only after insemination.
12.Use all the semen. Under no circumstances should the semen be uses for any mare other the the mare booked.
13. Fill out Insemination Report and follow directions pertaining to copies within 5 days. . Return the Equitainer.
14. Notify Painted Visions Farm when mare has been checked and if more semen is needed or in foal. We recommmend an ultrasound examination at approx.16-18 days after insemination and to repeat at 60 days.
